Paris, romantic?

I have to say, Paris may be a tiny bit overrated. Yes, the Louvre contains hundreds of important artifacts that keep you busy for hours (or a whole day if you are really thorough). Agreed, the Eiffel Tower trumps almost all other man-made buildings in pure architectural beauty. Not to mention, Notre Dame looks pretty outstanding even from a far distance away. I am still not convinced of this being the best city in Europe.

Maybe I was expecting too much. Maybe it was the expensive metro tickets that somehow always flew out of a crevice in my backpack and scattered the floors of the hostels.

I have to give it something, though. Paris has charm. I enjoyed the small cafes that face the street, so you can people watch AND drink your warm coffee at the same time. I'm all about a good cup of americano and watching people hustle around. Also, seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the night sky gave me a chill. You can view tons of couples kissing and holding hands, too. Way to make the rest of us feel lonely, Paris.

Everyone should see Paris, but I don't know if it is worth an extended amount of time. Three days was a perfect amount...except i never made it to the Longchamp store. Who could have known google maps was actually directing me to a racing course instead of a store? Whoops.
